Wild Child is a one-day course dedicated to children 6-12 years of age and their parents. This course is designed to teach children basic outdoor safety, what to carry on a hike, and how to assist in their own rescue in the case of a wilderness emergency. We will also focus on differentiating between animal tracks, deciduous-vs-coniferous trees, basic navigation, and ways to unplug and genuinely enjoy the outdoors.
Each child must be accompanied by at least one parent. Skills are specifically chosen to be age appropriate and the “Explain, Experience, Explore” teaching style is a fun way for children to learn and retain the skills. We have taught our children these skills using the same material and methods.
*course cost is per child
