Hike with Spike

Does your pup accompany you on your adventures?

If you’re the type of adventurer that has a four-legged sidekick on every expedition, understanding their needs and being able to provide for them should be just as important as remembering the map. In case of an incident you should have the supplies, ability, and a plan for scenarios involving first aid, a carry-out, animal encounters, sheltering in place, and a runaway.  It’s not about fearing the worst but simply being prepared to adapt to the unexpected. Hutch’s love of dogs and his time as a Marine Corps K9 handler/trainer make for a very informative day. It is important to understand that this course is designed to inform the human, not to train the K9. Topics covered include emergency recall, first aid considerations/improvisations, shelter considerations, trail etiquette, and gear.  If you’re interested in being a more confident adventurer with your K9, check the calendar for dates or contact us for more information. $125 per K9 (2 Humans per K9 included).
